I need help on in game. I play with Geometry high, effects and texture on medium, but for some reason I always have a shit load of lag. What I use in my computer is 2 gigs of memory, 2.4 CPU, and a GeForce 7600 GS AGP 8X 512MB. What would help on getting this serious lag to go away. I was thinking about updating my video card to a 7950, but I have no clue what to do at this point. Anyone have any suggestions?
Are you running any programs in the background? Virus scanners perhaps?
All I really run is Ventrilo or Teamspeak....sometimes I might have AIM or XFire up, but I really don't have any other things running in the background.

I used to have the same gfx card (except 256mb version) with similar processor and only 1.25g of ram and ran on very similar settings. With no problems. So it sounds like something aint right, what you got your AA set to?
I have AA set to off. I have everything off except for effects, geometry and texture and thats because I fly jets and choppers alot and need to see farther than I usually need to.
