n December 2005, Intel ended the "Intel Inside" campaign, and subsequently began a new campaign on January 1, 2006 based on a new logo and the slogan, "Leap ahead". The new logo is clearly inspired by the "Intel Inside" logo.

In mid January 2006, Intel announced that they were dropping the long running Pentium name from its processors. They will be phasing out the Pentium names from mobile processors first, most likely when the new Yonah chip is released. The desktop processors will quietly change from the Pentium brand when the core line of processors are available. The Pentium name was originally used to refer to the 586 Intel processors (Pent refers to the 5 in 586).

This is for all the Intel supporters, So if your a amd fanboy dont go AMD BETTER!! VIVA LA AMD!!!.

AMD is teh roxxorz, even though i use intel, but i am currently waiting till AMD releases DDR2 667mhz chipsets coz i dont wanna waste money on ram.

thank god ur not a amd freak. lol i have a intel system, multimedia hooked up to 50 screen. and amd system which i use for gaming sometimes which is upstairs in my room. i use myintel for bf2 for somereason because im usually down stairs.

The Conroe is looking pretty sweet.. and it should please a lot of the people that did not like the p-4 architecture when it first came out.. taped out in 65 nano, it is going to be a surprise for many people what architecture it is based on..(those of you "in the know" will understand what I mean..) with a huge improvement in instruction set, control software and cache.. it is already showing to be super fast. it will be interesting to see what kind of yields intel is able to get though considering the large amount of cache inside the chip. I am sure that AMD has something just as impressive (or more) up its sleeve... and I mean it.. I am sure.. heh....

(my friend and i have about the same computer.. how ever he has pentium and i have amd.. i get in to playing in bf2 about 15-30 secs before him..!!!! i am refering to load time...)
