speedfan will check temps! Seriously, you have water cooling but no idea how to check your CPU temps?

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

wth is speedfan? And okay here we go...

fast

my room is on 5th floor - townhouse

the ambient temp gague says 91... put a fan behind it 86...

My computer is getting slow and locking up... didnt used to.

This all happened after I installed Printshop 22... probably coincidence, but my system definately locks up when I try to run it... no errors on the laptop.

The only temp gague I have is on the ambient. and Id rather know farenheight instead of hz and all, because im not farmiliar with those scales.

SpeedFan:

http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Also try CoreTemp:

http://www.thecoolest.zerobrains.com/CoreTemp/

Or Everest:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

All very good temp monitors. Personally I prefer SpeedFan, it works very well with proper configuration.

Put that in Celcius and I'll tell you if it's okay or not.  And why the hell would you post this here but not on our clan forums?

**Edited in temps in Celsius for easier comparison, since that's what most folks use.**

Are these at idle? Meaning low(surfing, normal, light use) or no CPU load? They're really not that bad.

Video card temp is fine. They can go to 80C before you have to worry.

thats what I was thinking... sorry ill use Celcius first, i actually translated them into F

well, Itunes, MSN, AIM, X-Fire, Steam, NOD32 (scanning) and a few other things... ran 2142 in a window to check, still a-okay... and Like i said, been on 6 hours prior.

Im not sure what to do, now CSS wasnt working, so im reinstalling that. oh and Ive crashed twice today w.o warning.... im thinking system restore soon :\

But I forget, does the system restore delete the new personal files? (Music, Pictures...) also?

What's the rest of your specs?

CPU
Mobo
Memory
Video card
Sound
Power supply
OS

Overheating can probably be ruled out, so the crashes could be memory related. Have you run Memtest?
