Once I get my 8800GTS 640mb, I'll do it.
Specs are right now horrible, Im upgrading to PCI-E. 650i Motherboard, Kingston 1x2GB DDR2 800 RAM, Thermaltake Purepower 600W (i have a 350w right now, lol), and my favorite...8800GTS 640MB. After those upgrades im going to get a 320GB Hard drive cuz i have a 40GB right now...and maybe save up for a 24 inch Dell screen.

If you have an nForce MoBo get nTune from nVidia (f'n alliteration)... it will boost your performance nicely. I got an additional 500 points on '06.
5180 pre-nTune, 5730 after nTune.
Haven't done the other versions of 3DMark (Will edit and add later).
Edit -
2003 = 23615
2005 = 10399

asus p5b deluxe
nvidia 8800GTX
2Gb corsair
no OC anywhere...
is the videocard making all that diffrence then?

I made a mistake. I have the same processor, i just typed it wrong.So i guess it´s your better GFX card, because 2 or 4 GB of ram doesn´t make a difference for me! BTW, what ´s your score ?[UKE] OAZ-398 wrote:

There is quite a big leap from the GTS to the GTX. Plus, his Corsair RAM may be better than yours. Making is computer work faster.

Echo, I highly advise you overclock your CPU. It is very poor compared to the rest of your system ( not the CPU itself, just the speed ).Echo wrote:

Even just overclocking it a bit would do the trick. Because that is your weakest system part. I would overclock it to 3.00GHz if you don't want to go higher - that is a very stable speed - ( I have it on my computer now ). Then you will see a huge performance difference ( do not overclock if you have a STOCK INTEL COOLER, you must buy a good cooler ).
overclocking your CPU makes almost no difference in 3DMark, the difference was under 100 marks compared between stock (1.8ghz) and overclocked (2.5ghz)
GPU comes first, it seems. you just need a CPU that can keep up with it, and fast ram.
