Been having this problem since yesterday at about 4PM.

When i tried to login on BF2, th remember password box was unchecked for some reason. So, i put in my password for the game and waited about 20 seconds and then a window popped up saying i had provided the wrong password. I did this multiple times, and then started using different passwords. HWn i would put in a password that i KNOW was wrong, it would take about 2 seconds for the incorrect pw window to pop up, but much longer if i put in the correct password.

I then reset my password by using the Manage Accounts button and getting the email sent to me. I tried again, putting in the new password...same result. I would use the new password, and about 20 seconds later it would say it was wrong. if i put in the OLD, correct password it would take like 2 seconds (this is now the wrong password..so it IS changing, but it isn't accepting it). I changed the password AT LEAST 4 times, same results every time.

i asked around, even got a friend to try logging into the account on a different computer, he was getting the SAME results.

I then emailed EA customer support and got one of those generalized examples telling me to reset my PW (which i had explained, IN DETAIL, in my original post that i had done). I told him, but changed my PW anyways, and got the same result, of course. I then got another response telling me to do the EXACT SAME THING, well, i didn't do that, becuase i'm not stupid and things don't just fix themselves suddenly.

I would REALLY like to play again, as it is holding my interests much better than CS was, and i spent $200 on my computer JUST to play THIS game.

If there is a fix that you guys might know of, i would be EXTREMELY happy. I tried searching google multiple times, and either no one has had the problem, it's in another language, or no one replies with a fix if someone did have the problem....

I just d/l'ed the 1.41 patch again to see if it might do something, my next step is a complete uninstall....which would suck hardcore.

I had the SAME EXACT problem.   Yes, reset your password via the whole E-mail Process.  When you do reset it and the confirmation E-mail shows up. give at at least 15 minutes for the password to reset at EA's end.

Try the new password.

Worked for me.  Key is is to wait.  IF this doesnt work... I have nothing for ya..Good Luck.

thanks for trying, more help than the EA customer support has done...they just respond with the exact same "Advice" lol.

k...did it and waited about 2 hours to try using the new password...same result.

i also responded to EA's response to my post, if that makes sense. They told me to just make a new BF2 account...looks like i'm going to have to do that i guess...i'll have to level up again..i was 3/4 way to staff sargeant....

I had the same issue...After weeks of trying I reset my Gamespy password and my account started working again
