Body Found in River That of US Soldier
http://apnews.myway.com//article/200705 … GIO83.html

Hassan al-Jibouri, 32, said he saw the body with head wounds and whip marks on its back floating on the river Wednesday morning. He and others then alerted police.

Iraqis and terrorist know what happens when they are captured by Americans; they go to jail.
Americans know what happens if they get captured by Islamic militants.

Seriously, if these people can't act human, then they don't deserve a humane death.

Instant vaporization is almost too good for them, I hope most aren't killed too quickly.

I believe a number of them have been released unharmed.

(just pointing out that your statement is a generalisation (and like all generalisations, is wrong) - the specific incident that you report is still despicable, but it is just one incident)

once again, history repeats itself in all its ugliness.
a militant group, who feels that their country was wrongly invaded and that the recently installed local government are just puppets to the foreign invaders, capture said foreign invaders, see foreign invaders as the source of all their trouble and strife, treat said foreign invader 'inhumanely' before being put to death.
does it really come as a surprise.
don't get me wrong, i don't condone it, but as a grunt on the ground, you have to accept these facts if you are captured.
its not a war. its a guerilla insurgency.
think vietminh, vietcong, communists guerillas in colonial malaya, chechnya etc etc....
you can expect little to zero compassion from them. justified or not. right or wrong.

edit: spelling

I just thank random chance(not the imaginary omnipotent ghost) that I was born within these borders, and not over in some savage land.

A big thumbs up to our founding fathers.

Somehow I doubt this was a random act of violence. This was a premeditated, meticulously planned event. They're sending us a message.

I feel sorry for the soldier for the manner in which he was killed but if you're trying to tell me that Gitmo and Abu Ghraib are OK because of these barbarians acts then you can go jump. Two wrongs don't make a right. Both sides have commited atrocities in this conflict.

Atrocities occurs on both sides regrettably and both sides in the conflict breaks the Geneva convention on a regular basis so what did you expect ATG ?

At such caring and humane places as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay?

Seriously, ATG, you need to find some moral high ground that's outside of artillery range.

Actually, physical health has increased for a couple of inmates. 3 meals a day, no chances of getting killed, bed, no cave, no need to try get food etc.

And all they have to do in return is be tortured and run around like dogs.  Really, the US asks so little.

How one sided have you been in the past concerning this issue?  You are so quick to condemn/bash US troops accused of crimes.  But when an instance arises in the reverse what do you post?  You spew some twisted bullshit about war being hell and in previous posts write things to the effect of "I don't care what the enemy does"..  Too bad you didn't put that <sarcasm off> in any of your other rants.  I wonder what the ratio/percentage of prisoners taken and executed is between sides.  Forced to choose -I'd much rather be captured by the Americans given how they treat their POW's.  I guess you'd choose the terrorists seeing how buddy buddy you are with them <sarcasm off>.

you know its kind of amusing watching people try to justify this killing with gitmo or abu ghraib.
any other time these same people would be trying to lecture us on how two wrongs dont make a right, but now it looks like a defense for the animals that behave this way....hhmm

Fucking savage barbarians.

They demand respect, but do nothing to earn it.  No sympathy from me for the torture they receive in Gitmo or the bombs that fall on their homes.
