if you want THE BEST OF THE BEST atm the Dell XPS Renegade is the way to go.. not one "homemade" pc will beat the Renegade in games.. 4* sli 7800gtx 512mb with improved sli preformance and with the awsome 4.133Ghz 0.65nm intel dual core cpu you wont be able to build one better yourself with the current hardware out there..

dont take me wrong i LOVE to build my own pc but atm the BEST game pc is the Renegade..

Yep. By the time people like Dell or Alienware get a system out, there's something better out. Not to mention that they use proprietary parts, well Dell does at least, meaning you can't easily upgrade your system later on.

But anyway, two things:

* Getting the best PC on the planet isn't going to make you suck less.

* Getting the best PC on the planet is a bad idea. Buying top of the line stuff is like 2x the cost of something slightly down the chain, but nearly just as good performing. Expensive / top of the line parts != best solution.

Buy an alienware pay 4k.

Build the exact same thing, pay 2k (About).

Be smart and build your own.

such a common misconception

good pc makes you suck LESS

you know why? because if you have crap pc like me, you'll die because of lag all the freaking time

and having good comp eliminates that stupid death like 5 sec freeze while i was bombing on plane, super lag in the middle of shootout

things like that..

XPS owns? LOL Sorry to tell you but you got RAPED.  You probably paid at least 400 dollars more than I did for the PC I built.

If you want a gaming rig, don't bother buying a pre-configed one from dell.  Alienware is wayyyyy too expensive as well.  If you want one, build one.  Buy the book "build your own high performance gamers mod PC" by edward chen and joel durham jr.  You'll learn a lot about computers, and it doesn't take too much intelligence to build one - plus all you need is a phillips head screwdriver.
