Yes, I had the same problem. Download the punkbuster update manually from
www.evenbalance.com.
Once done, add BF2 to the list, and hit Update Games.
Yep, all you have to do is download
this, , as you may have already, and then follow these steps..
1) Run the pbsetup.exe that you just downloaded.
2) It may have to update, just agree to the license agreements.
3) Click on Add a Game.
4) Scroll down to Battlefield 2.
5) Click on it, and make sure the game path is correct.
6) Click ok.
7) It should appear under the main Punkbuster Setup screen. Click on where it says Battlefield 2, and then click check for updates.
8) It should automatically update.
9) Try the game again.
If that doesn't help, and I'm unsure whether it will (
but it's worth a try), it probably is to do with your ISP, as was said above. Packet loss is due to a poor internet connection, which could be to do with either
Your ISP
Your own internet connection, particualrly if you use wireless (i.e a poor router)
However, if you don't have any problems with other games, it is possible that it's a PB problem and you just need to update it.
