Ok, i am really pissed off about portforwarding when i have done the steps followed in http://www.portforward.com

I am trying to portforward utorrent, which uses the port 58970. I have set up a static local ip in my other com, added the port 58970 in both TCP and UDP in my windows firewall, portforwarded in my linksys router, after that i ran a port check, and What the fuck, the port is still not fcking open, so whats the problem here?

Some ISPs block common torrent and P2P ports. Try another port, like one commonly used by a game or other program.

have you enabled encryption and made sure the scheduler isn't activated?

Post a screenshot of your "Applications and Gaming" page.

If you are using DHCP (from router->machine), sometimes your rules can break when your machine IP changes.

Yeah I'd enable encryption anyway, never know when yer ISP is trying to foil your priacy

(can't remember where in the main options, but down the bottom of Utorrent when you're downloading something and the 'low connectivity' sign appears click that and activate encryption)

I would say the problem lies within the way you set up a static IP.

Your sig is fucking annoying, I and probably a lot of other people like to open a thread in a college library without seeing shit like that on the screen. The last thing I want is a rumour of being "that guy" who got caught looking at porn on a college laptop. Stop being a dick and keep your porn to yourself.

I agree with you about the porn bit, i got kids at home and its like threading a minefield reading the forums with two kids looking over my shoulder. You can actually turn off images in sigs inside your profile setting.

In any event, Ayumiz, i have the same ISP as you do and even with changing the port settings on my 2WIRE, the speed improved slightly but still sux compared to the other ISP. So, it might be ISP side. It actually gotten worst in the past 4 months.
