i open BF@ and it go's to load then hte screen blackens like its opening then it crashs and go's back to my desk top like nothing happened no error messiges or any thing.  i have 512 ram a 128 meg video card a 1400 amd processer "i think"

im stumped i even tryed it on my other pc  any ideas on what to do pls. ? id like to try the game out is seems bad ass at a friends house and im dieing to try it

Happened to me. I'll bet it's your graphics card. What specific model is it?

i tryed it on my shitty shitty pc and it had a on bord 64 meg one

this one is a geforce 4000  128 meg card.  i dunno wat is causeing this any other ideas? acording to the thing all my shit meats the specs.

U need a 6 series vid card and up for min specs

It happens.

1. check your ram with memtest86

2. check your video card with 3DMark

3. check your DirectX install with dxdiag (go to Start->Run..., enter 'dxdiag', click ok, select Display tab, click Test DirectDraw, follow prompts, click Test Direct3D, follow prompts, select Sound, click Test DirectSound, follow prompts, select Music tab, click Test DirectMusic).

If that all checks out OK, it's most likely to just be a bad install, in that case:

4. Do a complete manual uninstall of bf2 and all expansions.

5. Make sure you install bf2, expansions and patches in the correct order.
