How old is the 2nd video?  I think that the pilot may have been me.

TV, you have to time the direction change, not just steer it if you lose or don't get a lock on.

Then what about if your pilot suddenly changes direction so it makes it harder or if you try to shoot choppers down at long range?

Wow... I think that was me..  One of the few times I tried out the bomber.  I ended the round with about 40 kills.
The reason I asked the date was becauseit was the same month I started playing PR that I did that.

Heli TV is harder and laser.

I would definatly say laser guided missles are much harder to controll.  I can easily hit anything with a TV guided missile, but I only have ever gotten about 4 kills with the Laser Guided missile.  It takes about 3-6 seconds after you click before it fires which makes it even more difficult.

TV hands down. It does take some skills to hit shit with the laser guided if your shooting at something not locked in... but that depends solely on your pilot. Any sudden change in direction completely ruins your aim. But even if you are flying with a clan mate, the tv guided still requires the most skill in my opinion.

Laser Guided - Locked on, no movement necessary;
TV Guided - No lock, constant moving, easily evaded..

Try learning to aim the Laser Guided Missiles manually....
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

Manual control is definitely tougher with the Laser Guided Missile!  I am fairly proficient with the TV guided, but the laser guided is definitely not my cup of tea.

The majority of the laser guided missiles you will fire will have a lock, making the kill almost guaranteed. For the manual control, its not that hard neither. Most of the pilots will fly straight toward the target, and you will only have to follow the target with a fluid mouse movement. And laser guided missiles have a larger splash area I believe.

No lock is possible with the tv missile, and you need good reflex to aim it and follow a fast vehicle like an enemy helicopter.

At the other end, shooting down helicopters with laser guided missiles is much harder than with tv's.

Anyway, in conclusion, tv missiles are harder to use imo.

Well, they both seem tough!

Manually guiding the lgm is pretty easy, I use it to take out the enemy's commander assets regularly. TV can be rough on certain maps, mostly Dragon Valley, because the contrast makes the crosshairs almost invisible.

I can't believe people voted for the LGM as taking more skill. I dunno, maybe it's me and I'm just naturally better with the LGM (though I consider myself good at both). The LGMs are so powerful that even if you're not dead on, you'll still take out what you were aiming at 90% of the time. The only thing to learn about those is the timing as to when to release, and also to know whether you'll have time to get a lock or whether you should shoot manually and guide it to its target.

The TVs are a little more difficult, mainly because of air to air attacking. You have to account for some pretty good flying by helicopters (whereas a tank or AA on the ground doesn't have much maneuvering to dodge the LGM or TV).

Maybe it's because I've never had a good pilot for the bomber, but the LGM is hard to aim for me.  The video makes it look easy, but that's because the pilot and bomber were communicating.  TV'ing is pretty easy imo.  I can solo TV decently so long as there isn't a halfway decent pilot on the other team.

Lol, nice catch. They did actually hit one on the other team, but I only noticed one.

LGM for me. I've had a lot of experience with both. The TV is easier to manually aim, and hit things with. The LGM is easy to get kills with if you get a lock, but more often than not, your pilot will swing around to get the kill for himself, thus ruining your lock-on. Also, the LGM is HELL to manually aim.
