I'm not surprised that England (with a little over-Atlantic help) can fill up Wembley for a one-off American Football match.

Anyone else remember the UK American Football league that was around a few years ago? Lots of teams with shiny uniforms and idiotic names. It faded away into obscurity after about two years, IIRC.

A one-off will be successful, but the game can't compete with the well established soccer and rugby which routinely draw the kind of numbers this one-off match will bring in.
