Wow. This tempts me to apply for an FOID in Illinois. But really, how is that possible? The fact that there was simply a scribble for a signature shows that this child is unable to handle a gun at the present time, and that his application should be delayed until he's a reasonable age.

in some towns in the southern states of america its illegal if you don't have agun licence if you own a house, they say it cuts crime because crimnals hear this and are detered so they go to some other town

While you can argue that owning a gun can be good or bad, I think we should at least all agree that there should be a minimum age to this? It seems awkward to me that a child can't drink alcohol or drive a car, but he can own a firearm.
