Actually it has the equivalent level of theme as XP's Luna (or 'Fisher-Price').

Starter (3rd world countries): Classic

Easiest way to tell if you're running Aero or "Windows Vista Basic" is if you have an overhanging display pic in the Start Menu. Transparency is not a guide.

Like everyone else say, Vista and XP are two different worlds. If your computer is so old that it has only 128 MB RAM, it's  propably nopt even compatible. Always remember the Vista slogan:

If you have a shit computer (Or even a good one), Vista's a waste of money. I tried running Vista on my computer (3.60GHz, 1GB RAM, SATA2 Hard drive) and it slowed everything down. I always had 0 kB free memory! Disk access was slow-as-hell!! My BF2 FPS dropped by 30!!! And the worst - My beloved SoundBlaster Live! Value isn't supported! Vista barely support any pre-2004 hardware at all. Stick to XP until you get a new computer. I also tried installing Vista on my laptop, just for fun. (466MHz CPU, 256MB RAM) It refused to start the install at all. On my reserve computer (1.9GHz, 1GB RAM), I removed 768MB RAM, leaving behind 128MB, I tried to install. It installed, but it took about 10 minutes to boot.
That's my Windows Vista sunshine story, people!
I've returned to XP.

Vista is really not much more than Windows XP re-written with a fancy shell. It's about as compatible with Windows programs as Kubuntu with Wine installed is (Kubuntu is a Linux distribution, free. www.kubuntu.com)
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Vista comes with a new thing called "SuperFetch". If i was to look at my RAM usage now, it tells me that I have 16mb free. Is all of this used by the resource hungry Vista? Vista needs about 300MB more RAM.

Creative's problem, not Vista's. You needed Creative drivers in XP too.

I love how people always pass the buck to Vista when its all the manufacturer's that just need to catch up (they've only had a copy of it for over a year!). 95/98/XP all had the same damn problem but people are too stupid/whiny so they had to 'bring back' Windows XP, which mind you never left. Back when 95 was out, I bought 3.1 instead because of all the hang-ups with Windows 95-A.

Trust me, I know how you feel I've been waiting for a Silicon Image driver so I can at least install Vista on my Hard Drive, but that is Silicon Image's fault, they've had their hands on Vista a lot earlier than Beta 1.

What SiI controller do you have?
Come to think of it, I've since switched from an EPoX Stock-30%-Overclock-FTW™ to a Gigabyte SuperPoo™ motherboard when I got my Barton 2500+ (don't laugh).

In any case it was the 3112A (and I was installing Vista Beta 1). This board has ITE sumting.
I need an upgrade... with native SATA!

I have 2 gigs, and I still cant max out.
