Ok, finally got bf2 back from a mate, and have installed PR. Now, ive read the wiki to death, and looked at every hint and tip on the official website. I want to ask you, the BF2S Pr'ers, what tips/tricks you know, to excel in this mod. I havnt played even vBf2 in about 6 months, so im gona be a little rusty, but i can't wait to get gaming with you guys.

Well, it kinda forces you to do the teamwork part, doesn't it?

I'd download PR and all (been saying that since v0.5 came out), but a big download is hardly enticing for me.

You'd be surprised, people find a way to avoid it

Just stay behind cover. Advance slowly, don't just run around the map.

If you lead a squad, get a squad leader kit.

not necessarily, a lot of players who can get a sniper kit just go off on their own.


the download is well worth it in my opinion

You mean officer? And like vicktor said advance slowly. The respawn times are a bitch.

When you are starting out, forget everything that you learned about scoring points fast in vanilla.  In vanilla you would go strait from point A to point B.  In PR you need to come up with the safest way to your destination, which is usually not the fastest.  Smoke grenades are a must.  If there is a firefight going on down the street from you, or you are feeling uneasy about the lack of cover somewhere, toss a smoke grenade.  If you are medic and you see someone low on health or critically wounded, unless you are in a very sheltered area, toss a smoke grenade.  When in doubt, use a smoke grenade!  Play every kit(except for engineer) as if you were a  sniper in vanillaBF2.  I do not mea go run off by yourself to find the uber sniping spot.  What I am telling you is to place yourself roughly the same ditance away from targets that you would try to shoot with th MEC or PLA sniper in BF2v.  Also remember to move the same way as a BF2v sniper would.  Use cover and get as close as you can to be able to see what team he is on, then open up.  Always use singleshot, unless you are sneaking up on a group of people from about 10 feet away that is...
