I searched and searched via the "Search" link but couldn't find info on this topic..

Is it 10 deploy's IAR or total? I know for sure that I have done 10 Hooks IAR before..
Can anybody explain?

SO you have to deploy, zip down, recover and deploy and repeat?  10 times in a round?  Geez that's kinda dumb.

nah i just deployed and i got it but the grapple wasnt working so i had 2 quit and rejoin then i got it

sometimes you'll get the badge but it doesn't come up by the chat dialogue it just appears in your awards.

I think you actually have to zip/grapple to a building 10 times; seen a couple dorks do it 10 times ( I was sniper in 'my spot' bored) on the ground and ended up asking what else they have to do to get it....simple ribbon; doesn't need to be one imo.
