hi,
i had 2 reboot my pc when i tried to join a server as the loading screen locked up, now whenever i try to join a server, my keyboard and mouse 'freeze' and i cannot select a spawnpoint or kit???  i have to CTL/ALT DEL to stop the game from running!
i have tried reinstalling the game but this has had no effect
if i play in single player mode my keyboard and mouse work fine, its only online that mouseie and k/board refuse to work
this game is the best in the world and i havent been able to play for weeks..... am havin serious withdrawal problems and need my fix
any help really appreciated

try deleting your profile in my docs/bf2/
thats what fixed it for me
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Same, i had this problem early on and that works, delete the my docs BF2 folder
