On topic, although i haven't really used either much an it i probably just getting used to it, i think the bf2 was easier because it stays in the same direction unless you click.

The BF2 is easier to use, and it don't take so much practice (I think, cus I don't got 2142, only played at a friend some times)

BF2, mainly because it is a little easier to use, as well as a 1 shot kill against everything

call me cocky but i'm v. good with the 2142 missiles, and although i spent most of my bf2 time gunning, i prefer the 2142 missiles - like bernie said it requires more skill than in bf2

Theres a certain amount of satisfaction in blasting a walker with a TV missile in 2142 and watching it detonate in a nice fireball. Mostly because of the fact that A) they never saw it coming until it was too late, and B) The skill required to land a long range shot with missiles is all-too rewarding.

Hell, I enjoy hitting anything with the TV missile in 2142. Though the pilot usually gets to finish off what i've damaged.

i have never played BF2,,, but most pilots in 2142 never do what they are supposed to...

a pilot is supposed to give the gunner the best position and overview of the battle, from where the GUNNER can take out the enemy, that and keeping an eye out for enemy aircraft is what the pilot should be doing...

BF2142 pilot-noobs fly around doing loops and flying into stuff trying to shoot the soldier standing out in the open with the gunships rockets...

I dont think it is hard to hit what you aim for with the gunship TV missle in 2142.. i will hit what i aim for 9/10 times from 300 metres (max range of the TV's in 2142)

I've also noticed that with all the anti air equipment, including the infantry and the homing missiles the plane has now, i don't last as long anymore... i suppose it's more evened out. I could last forever when playing bf2, but now I'm lucky to last more than 2min's.
