* I did a search and looked at the first 5 pages and could find nothing if there is something like this then close the thread*
Well I listen to lots of music and have though of how good it would be to go to the forums and see what other people think of the CDs that have just been released. So I decided to make a CD reviewing thread for all types of music. Im going to review 2 albums in depth for this first review.
First up is Static-X's new Album Cannibal
\
The album trakcs are as follows
Cannibal - 3:12
No Submission - 2:42
Behemoth - 3:00
Chemical Logic - 3:51
Destroyer - 2:47
Forty Ways - 3:00
Chroma-matic - 2:44
Cuts You Up - 3:26
Reptile - 2:30
Electric Pulse - 2:40
Goat - 3:48
Team Hate - 3:24
Now some songs are pretty good on this album such as No submission, Chemical Logic, and Forty ways. Chemical logic has more of a techno beat to it because of the return of Static-X's original guitarist Koichi Fukuda. Forty Ways is more of a metal song tahn anything but still good. No Submission has that major thrash element mixed with a little bit of thta technoish beat. Overall some songs on the album are good but i would not recommend it as the others sound all the same to me.
The next album i will be reviewing comes from a new "supergroup" band know as Hellyeah (i know original name right?). They are a combonation of Mudvayne, Pantera (just Vinnie Paul), and Nothingface.
Track list
"Hellyeah" - 3:30
"You Wouldn't Know" - 4:18
"Matter of Time" - 3:46
"Waging War" - 3:05
"Alcohaulin' Ass" - 3:54
"GodDamn" - 3:20
"In the Mood" - 0:58
"Star" - 3:42
"Rotten to the Core" - 3:52
"Thank You" - 4:31
"Nausea" - 4:59
"One Thing" - 3:50
"Alcohaulin' Ass [Acoustic Version]" - (Best Buy Bonus Track)
I liked this album a lot. It has the whole vocal style of mudvayne witha heavier sound. GodDamn was a stand out song as a heavy metal song with bursting drums and thrash like guitars this song is definatly kick ass. Matter of Time was the same way but witha different melody. Good thing is that none of these tracks sound alike as in the previous CD. Overall I would definatly recommend this album for any metalhead looking for somthing to rock out to.
Well thats it for this session. If you want me to review ANYTHING relating to music than post it here or if you have a review please submit it im always intrested in new songs to listen too.
