I found playing SP very frustrating, the bots are idiots and it is in no way a good representation of how the online game is played.
They're good target practice though.

I learned how to use the TV guided missile in SP. I've learned how to bomb in SP and lately I've been practicing on soloing in SP. It comes in handy for that.KillahStyle wrote:

Although, infantry combat in SP and MP is a whole different ballgame plus in MP you never get the holy rain of grenades when you're in a tank :p
Bots don't bitch. Easy as that.
Plus, as said, some stuff is easier to learn and a wiser thing to do in SP than sabotaging your team's efforts to win in MP by repeatedly blocking a chopper, jet or bomber when you're not even able to keep it in the air.

SP is more annoying than online play IMO, but both have their moments of extreme frustration. Single players on bf2 is about as good of a representation of ea/dice's game making skills as patch 1.3
there is practically no AI, just bots that go from way point to waypoint and shoot at enemies that they happen to intersect. Its particularly obvious when the bots are flying the chopper, they fly in a set path around the enemy flags, and always do the exact same thing. Its terrible

SP is fun to mess around in, i love putting it on easy and going 55-0 with a knife

Well I used SP to come to the conclusion I fail at flying helis, and that saved me from ruining a good heli pilot's round.

I learnt how to fly choppers in SP or LANS in the last few weeks and now i can honestly say the i love choppers
