My current spec:

Pentium 4 3.06Ghz, 512Mb of RAM, Radeon x300 Graphics Card

With everything on low, will an extra gig of RAM increase FPS on PR noticably, and get rid of these sudden outbursts of lag? I don't lag much at all on city maps on vanilla, so I'm guessing it's a RAM issue due to the size of PR maps?

It might help, but look at upping your graphics card also

hell yes! .5gb to 1.5gb is a very nice difference
Im not sure about your FPS because your vid card might need some upgrading but extra ram never hurts, i dont know how you currently play anything on 512.

although, 2gb (2x1gb) would be a very very nice upgrade.

BF2 and 2142 are better run on 2 gigs. . . . .PERIOD!

Its a noticeable difference. . . .If you want to play the game the way its supposed to be played, you have to get the proper specs.  The proper specs include at least 1.5 gigs (which I had for awhile, then switched to a flat 2 gig) for stable gameplay.

I'm surprised that you can play it at all. Yes a gig will help. Then again a new Vid Card would help a lot as well.

I searched the forums... I see people saying to remove your old 512mb as it just slows you down? Could someone explain this? Thanks.
