I just saw this trailer of the movie The Condemned and I think that is a rip off of Battle Royale. Judge by yourselves:

The condemned

Battle Royale

Maybe they think that they can score some cash in the same way that The Departed did (it was a rip off of  the chinese Infernal Affairs).

Its a bit different, in Battle Royale loads of people are always sent in to try and kill the so called terrorists. In this it looks more like Running Man kind of thing!

Is that one of the crappy WWE produced films like 'The Marine' (which wasnt actually not too bad though)!

Lies, in battle royale they give every single student a bag containing a weapon or something that can be useful (and not necessarily a weapon). So they eliminate their classmates by killing them off.

Thats not why they're sent there. They're in pairs so that they actually try and kill the terrorists because if they dont they get their heads blown up (running away from eachother or committing suicide kills the other one). That Condemned is nothing like Battle Royale, except for the fact that they're on an island and have to kill people.

Like I said, its closer to Running Man or that van Damme film where they get hunted for sport.

According to Battle Royale wiki you are telling lies. Have seen it ? I've seen the two movies myself and I don't recall any terrorists in the island. And yes, I forgot that they were sorted in pairs.

The Departed was a remake of Infernal Affairs, not a rip-off. They had the original writer/director write the script for the US version.
