Inverted Mouse

I wondered if anyone could help me?

EDIT: I've already solved half of the problem seeing as no one is willing to help. I'm still stuck on the second part.

Ok so here's my problem: (after retrieving my account)

When i go on to a server and on the spawn screen my mouse is inverted. i.e. when you push up it goes down and vice versa. I play with my mouse inverted however it has never done it on the spawn screen. I can find no way to change it in the control options -- the only options involving inverting your mouse are in infantry, vehicle controls etc. and I have always had these checked. So my question to you genius' is can you figure out anyway of changing this. I'm guessing there will be something in the bf2 program files although i have no idea where to look.

Any logical idea's other than "re-install lol" would be much appreciated.

nope, sorry.

as I said in TS, I am not much of a tech guy.

you might want to wait a little though. Maybe someone will show up who can help. and if not, a reinstall of BF2 is always an option, I guess....

I had a problem like this when I installed a new joystick. The way I fixed it (thanks to the advice of someone in-game) was to reset controls to default. There should be a button to do this in the main "controls" menu. It's kind of tedious if you have other controls customized, but it should be worth the while. Hope this helps.

These do not effect the spawn screen. These only effect the gameplay.

In Documents > BF2 > Profiles... > Controls >

There is a line called:

"ControlMap.invertMouse 1"

This is what's causing it, trouble is when i delete this line and save. When i re-open the file it hasn't deleted it.

I tried this also. It changes back to 1

I checked my readme and i didnt find this line it doesnt exist. Try to type this weird line into ingame console then change 1 to 0, i dont know im runing out of options.

Found this on some webpage controlMap.InvertMouse [0,1] - Mettre 1 pour inverser la souris, 0 en étant la souris par défaut. http://www.somua.com/index.php?sujet=9139
controlMap.InvertMouse [0,1] - Set to 1 for inverted mouse, 0 for default mouse. Btw did you tried to uncheck these invert mouse boxes maybe it helps.
