hey guys
ive been running bf2 on an All-in-Wonder Radeon 9000 (64mb) card and its a miricale it was working

yesterday i put in a Radeon 9550 (256mb) card and the game refused to run.

i downloaded and installed drivers from www.ati.amd.com and it stil refused to run
after this a gave up and put ion the old card, now i cant even run windows out of safe mode and at a complete loss as to what the hell i should do now!!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I would leave new card in, update drivers, including chipset drivers, then GC driver.


BTW, not a tech type, just had my share of probs too.

did you use a driver cleaner before hand?

have u got it configured right in the BIOS?

If you cant boot into windows, boot into safemode and run driver cleaner with the 9550 installed.  Wipe out everything thats ATI, reboot and see what happens.  Most likely you should be able to boot into windows but everything will be big since it cant locate your video card drivers.  When it comes to using video cards that are 2 generations older you will probably run into a few issues while running the latest drivers.  I would recommend installing the last release of omega drivers (www.omegadrivers.net) since the latest ATI drivers do not offer any improvements for anything other then the X1k series of cards.  Hope this helps.

cheers guys. removed existing drivers and reinstalled the new ones. i dont know too much bout computers so didnt realise the old drivers were going to screw things up!
