Ok, im trying to make backup disks for my bf2 and also make it so i dont have to have the cd in the slot to play, I'm pretty sure that alcohol 120% is perfectly legal so here it goes. I just downloaded it, what do i do from here. There are 6 different options...Image Making Wizard, Image Burning Wizard, Copy Wizard, Image Finder, CD/DVD Manager, and Erase Wizard. What do each of them do? Which ones would i need to use for what im looking to do? Thanks +1 for help.
you should probs make a complete backup of the disk (copy wizard I would suppose). then download a mini-image from www.gamecopyworld.com (no worries it it legal) and mount that to run the game.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
I'm quite interested, how do you mount?max wrote:

either with Alcohol 120% (but you have to torrent/buy it) or with deamon tools linky. Mounting is self explanatory once you have it installed. It tricks your PC into thinking it has another DVD drive. That way you can get around the CD-in-the-drive-to-run protection of games. Never having to move the disk out of the case = low risk of it breaking[E.F.L]Airwolf wrote:

YES, hence that's why I needed to pay extra £7.5, for a disk replacement. And it wasn't even my fault, as I really take care of my DVDs.max wrote:

lol, I didn't. I was trying to play and the DVD didn't spin in my DVD drive. I removed it, and guess what? there were a little tiny scratch( I never thought that would be the problem). I guess paying £7.5 is better than paying the whole £25 at that time.max wrote:

you should have just torrented it. But those disk eating DVD drives can be a real bitch. I had my old lappy drive kill my university backup DVD once. Man I was pissed at it.rabee2789b wrote:

I posted detailed instructions for playing BF2 without the disc in this thread:

Ok, i went to copy wizard and it copied the whole bf2 disc, then said to insert a blank dvd disk, i did, and it didnt do anything, i sat there for an hour and then i finally pressed cancel?
Alright i just looked through some stuff and went to My Documents\Alcohol 120%. Then i found two files that are called Bf2 CD 1.mdf and one .mds. I left click on the blank part of alcohol 120% start up screen and then go to this folder and i can add this to Alcohol 120% like on your tutorial san4. I can now play with out the disc! YAY! My question is...If i delete Alcohol 120% will i still be able to play the game discless? Also, which one do i burn to a cd? or dvd? THanks
I use Daemon tool to mount the image.
no, you need the image of the disk mounted in order to play....or get a nocd patch off of gameburnworld, but im not sure if they even exist for the latest patch for bf2...(havent even looked).
