This war is lost. Give it up ffs.
The war was won, setting up a free government is another matter entirely.
I thought the war was about setting up a stable and democratic Iraq? Or was it about deposing Saddam Hussein? Or was it about transforming the Middle East? Or was it "to strike against Al-Qaeda"? Was it to "liberate" the Iraqis? Was it a holdover from the first Gulf War? Was it about WMDs? Was it about creating "peace and stability" in the region?

What exactly was won? And what exactly are US objectives? If you "win" but don't accomplish your objectives it can't be described as a victory...

Anyone else getting flashbacks of the South Park episode where they get the Chinese guy to build a great wall to keep paedophiles out and the Mongolians keep attacking it.

This guy has a point.  What the fuck WAS my country thinking 'oh, we're gonna go invade Iraq' prior the first bombs and tomahawk missiles falling?  Was it the fact that Bush is a greedy son of a bitch who did it for the oil?  To finish the job his daddy started with Saddam?  To create a happy-go-lucky democracy in a region full of extremists and known terrorist supporters and use it as a beachhead to get everyone to follow along?  Probably a little bit of everything above, sadly...classical case of my countries Imperial tendencies, even in this day and age of globalization.
All I gotta say is this: when Bush is out of the office, I pity the poor son of a bitch president who'll be cleaning up his mess.

Sometimes I swear there is zero communication between the US and the Iraqi government...

We need another "Sherman" type of leader in Iraq to end this once and for all.
