Just sell all your other drives, and buy two 500Gb Seagate/WD drives. 1Tb = win

That's stupidly pessimistic. You know, I reckon all of your drives will fail soon. It might not be now, it might not be tomorrow, but it will happen.
Im not talking about the drive physically going wrong.

Ahhwell, its your data, your choice.....just I ask you one thing, please have the honour to say 'you were right' when you boot up one day and find the array offline, but with each individual drive still working fine.

Raptor drives are for the uber setups - the ones that have quad cores and 8800GTXs, where the only way to make it faster is by increasing the HDD speed. If you have $400 (thats $AU) lying around, skip the raptor and get an 8800, or something. It would increase your performance more.
So go for RAID0. My friend has 2x160GB Seagates in RAID0 in his comp, and he says the speed difference is noticable.

i would RAID 2 of these bad-boys...im gettin 4 for a raid array in my next system... but 2 would be considerably faster then a lone raptor...and these drives are cheap + fast...
