Hokay, I'm playing SF. Map is Warlord. I'm SAS. We just capped Plaza. I hop onto an ATV and drive up the west side, only to turn a corner and see a tank barreling towards me. I decide to go non-explosive jihad and ram the tank. Something blows up, the smoke clears. I see this:

I look at the kill messages, I see this:

2 possible solutions...
A. He was on very low health when you rammed him and ramming him still does 3ish bars of dmg, which might have caused him to blow up.
B. he had one of his own AT mine sitting on or under his tank and you ramming him made him move setting it off and he died. (but this probably on works with FF on for mines, and that sounds unlikely being an American server (I assume))
