Sure, the media may not always be desirable, but a human loss is nonetheless tragic. And the more they do it, the more the US citizens critisize the government. It's kind of a psycological war.
Not to mention it's also a female reporter and we have shown that Americans tend to go above and beyond when a female is concerned. Remember that strike force that went in to rescue that female soldier that was taken prisoner by Iraq regulars? So who knows what might happen. I don't see the US releasing all the female Iraqi prisoners because of her. It's going to be a nutty time on this issue.
