They are just galleries for people to see your work. They don't request in them.

it would have been hypocritical of me to jump on the first person to start their own since i have my own (which has been around for a looong time) but after every sig maker on the forum did it, then i began to question the point of an official sig thread.

Your effects and brushing is excellent. Just one little niggle... Text.
Only your first, the purple one, sig suits the text.
All the other sigs, the text is either too hard; draws your eyes away from the focal point; badly chosen; badly positioned... you get the point.
Text is an important feature in a sig.

Basically; you have to make the text blend in, suit the theme and colour.
It takes practice, but you can get there.

I.e - For colour, you can grab the opposite contrasting colour to that of your sig and use it for your text. Like I have done in mine. The purple is the contrasting colour, so I used it, and it suits. _{or not...}

SiG is not how you abbreviate signature. You spell it with lower case letters like "sig" unless of course it is at the beginning of a sentence, which you would replace the lower case "s" with an upercase "s". MiG is a plane manufacturer/designation and that is how it is written. He was comparing the style of spelling, not someone who spells sig as "mig"
