When i put in a disc that has somthing on it, it opens and shows whats on the disc but when i put a blank disc in and try to open it i get a error message saying: " E:\ is not accsessible Incorrect Function" It never did this before whats wrong?
try shutting down ur computer uplug it both cables and wait 15 seconds then replug in
That's correct behaviour, it sounds like you've disabled windows cd burning.
Right click on the cd drive, select properties and then select the Recording tab. Ensure the "Enable CD recording on this drive" is ticked.

It's a feature of XP with cd burning. You can open an empty cd, then "copy" files onto it and burn it.LaidBackNinja wrote:

You aren't putting a DVD in? Windows (XP) Burning can't do DVDs, you need Nero.

Scroll down until you see "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service" right click on it, where it says "Startup type:" select Automatic. Also, you should see 4 buttons at the lower half of the window: Start, Stop, Pause and Resume.
Select Start.
