We all know that 2142 sometimes doesn't update on awards. You can earn awards multiple times (thus multiple points) - Have you ever "exploited" this?

Last night, I went on for some Gibraltar because I need my heals up. I was awarded the Distinguished Unit Service Ribbon, Basic and Veteran Heal Badge all in one round. Next round, I decided to do some killing, and got a Good Conduct Ribbon and a Legion of Merit Ribbon. Altogether, I earned over 3500 points in two rounds from awards I already have.

Have you done this?

I have never went on a server just to do this,

I just load up and when I got this bug then so be it, I won't stop playing because I get this bug.

Yeah it's happened to me a couple of times and it feels kinda cheap...
But hey, it isn't my fault!

Besides, once you hit brigadier general career points isn't that big a deal anymore.

I've earned the legion of merit about 5 or 6 times now...
Its not my fault that there's this bug with the stats system so why feel bad? its not like any of us are intentionally taking advantage of it, it just happens.   It seems to be when you get the private glitch but still have access to all your unlocks, thats when ive noticed it happening.  So watch out for this it could be your ticket to a free 2000 points lol.

In 2 days play, I got 10800 points, I did put in 16hr's though, however I did seem to get the ground defence ribbon(500pts) awarded at the start of 4-5 rounds al least, does that actually count??.

Just so no-one things im billy bullshitter here's 3 rounds that landed pretty much in a row.

I would. The only thing i found fun about 2142 is paddin stats. Nothing else is fun at all. So all i do now is just go on Knife servesr and own it with defibs. Everything else sucks.

The only thing you can 'exploit' is getting a new award more than once due to slow master server updates. For this the global requirements have to be achieved before the forseen lag comes up, which can hardly be performed intentionally.

A private bug is just an error which occurs occasionally, you can't 'produce' it.  So first you have to be lucky to face this bug and than you have to be extremly lucky to get it in the version with times / kills transmitted correctly. In most cases you only get a bundle of bronze awards over and over again.

So nothing to cheat here, because it happens all accidentally. Sure, you can stop 'cheating' by leaving the server and / or stop playing over the weekend.

And once you reached the last rank, you never think of carrer points again. 100,000 or 500,000 CPs are meaningless since the leaderboard is about global points.

Finally we're only talking about some hrs more or less on your way to General. I hope you face the bugs quite often to fasten up things for you.

When I first started playing that happened to me one night and I ended up getting almost four promotions due to ribbons I had already obtained. I just figured it was a bug and the points really didn't accumulate, but when I played again a few days later nothing had changed. Super sweet I guess... if I cared about points.

Back when they accidently wiped everyones stats (and then got them back) I got like 7000 points from ribbons I already had.

I've got the good conduct ribbon at least 8 times because of this bug, and lots of other ribbons and badges (including gold assault and gold medic) several times aswell. That's a shit-load of career points...

It's been happening since the beginning (although it hasn't happened for a while now) and I don't think there's any way to tell when it's going to happen, so I don't worry about it. I certainly don't see it as cheating because I've just been playing the game as normal and EA are the ones who are fucking up.

Actually I'd happily give back all my ill-gotten points because I got all the unlocks and arrived at Brigadier General too early, which took away some of my motivation to play the game.
