Well today I think I'm going to go and buy a PS3.  I was just wondering what game I should get.

So which game should I get and why?

I was looking at games earlier, and above are a few which appeal to me, however I am open to other suggestions.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Oblivion...looks great + has Knights of the Nine and has a huge amount of play time...but you gotta have a tolerance for huge RPGs too...FEAR was awesome on PC but i heard that it has a lame autosave feature before every action/"scary" part but i haven't tried it yet...

I have never played an RPG before but it has always been something I have wanted to try, mainly to see what all of the hype is about.

I know it doesn't sound like much help, but it depends what you're looking for.

Are you going to be playing a lot with friends? If so, do you and your friends enjoy pick-up-and-play party stuff or more dedicated comitted games? Are you willing to spend a hefty hundred hours playing one game?

Thats the one downside to Oblivion...me and my friends have gone back to playing Smash Brothers Melee because you can only watch/play Oblivion for so long, but i have it on my PC now so i can play while they are all off at school.

Most of my mates are not heavy gamers, so the answer to your first question is no, although I still want to enjoy the online aspect of the PS3.  To answer your second question, I have 290 hours or so with BF2, so I don't mind spending a lot of time with one game.

Didn't really mean heavy gamer friends, like me and my buddies enjoy a few rounds of GRAW or Vegas on the Weekends at someones house, and it's mostly like 4 people are playing, two people are on guitars idly watching or something, someone else is doing work, etc. Winning 11 and Blitz and stuff has people watching.

But yeah, I'd say get Oblivion for yourself, and if you have friends over often get Vegas as that has good replay party value.

How the fuck would you know? Played one? No. STFU.

Your best off getting Resistance: FAM - probly the best game at the moment. I own the majority of the lot and nothing compares to it.

Also you can add me to your buddy list
