Varegg I have always maintained there were failures and even an unwillingness to disclose information. The disgrace is not limited to a single party or administration, I guarantee that. In fact I'm pretty sure the Clinton administration was warned numerous times when they were continuing to cut intelligence spending. It is time to focus on prevention though.Varegg wrote:
Oh, but it isn`t - i wrote the thread and specifically wrote in the opening statement that it isn`t another conspiracy thread but a tribute to the few that have worked hard to get a few answers, and imho they receive the same shocking treatment as soldiers wounded in battle and thats a disgrace !ATG wrote:

If you read the first post you would have known that this is not another conspiracy thread !
The premise of your OP is suggesting the U.S. let it happen.
Which may indeed by the case:

Assuming it's not, I'd say we beat the enemy quickly in battle, but lost the war of politics to the press and bleeding hearts.
@Kmarion - The issue here is with all the background info the government had is:
*Why was there no warning ?
*How could they let this happend ?
*When the first plane hit tower 1, why didn`t the terror alarm sound throughout the country - tower 2coulhave begun evacuation much sooner !
*Why did all the precautions only go out to the top brass ?
I cant believe some of you dont see the need for a full invastigation around 9/11 !
Warning? Elaborate please. I remind you that every one of the hijackers were in this country legally.
Let it happen? Probably the same way the Brits let the subway bombings happen? Terrorist usually don't announce what they are going to do specifically before they do it.
