- Israel Nukes and the Refusal to Sign the NPT Go Unpunished
So we are arguing about who's going to nuke each other first?
Ummmm...Israel & Iran aren't bowling buddies.

No, we arguing about Israel having a lot of nukes and nobody giving a shit, while the whole World is worried about the enrichment plant in Iran. The law should be equal for everyone.Pug wrote:

Iran would destabilized the region if it possessed nukes because of their intent to use them after obtaining the technology. Israel apparently has had them for some time and has not used them. Quite a difference imo.
By all accounts North Korea has had nukes for quite a while and not used them, does that make it ok?Stingray24 wrote:

Oh, okay...so in other words Iran's playing by the rules and the sanctions that the entire world has put on Iran are unwarranted.sergeriver wrote:

LOL - the Middle East can get more destabilized?Stingray24 wrote:

(you know what I mean)...
I'll clarify. NK and Iran are both led by short, egomaniacal nutjobs on whom reason is lost. Given them nuclear weapons is insane. Israel has supposedly had nukes since the 80s and not used them. I'd trust them to keep their finger off the button much more than NK or Iran. How about you?PureFodder wrote:

Yes SSDD
Wheras Israel has been routinely led by ex-terrorist leaders.Stingray24 wrote:

I'm not advocating nukes for NK or Iran. I'm just saying Israel shouldn't have them either - although my biggest worry is Pakistan. If leadership there changed suddenly some Pakistani nukes could well find their way into the hands of terrorists.
If N. Korea already has nukes and Iran hasn't, surely N.Korea must be sorted out before looking at Iran.Stingray24 wrote:

No, I want the same sanctions on Israel.Pug wrote:

Agreed, but it's kind of hard to believe a guy in the basement. The first time I watched as stopped after a minute because I was like, okay, a guy in a basement. Then I see an argument about who's going to nuke each other first. So I went back, watched five minutes until he started talking about extending the nuclear program...ahhh there it is. But its still a guy in a basement.
Good, nuke the bastards and show the world how serious they are.sergeriver wrote:
This is for the naive out there:
Plans for an Israeli nuclear strike on Iranian uranium enrichment plants are reported.
Nah, NK can't hardly get their missiles off the ground, let alone pointed in the right direction. With technological support from Russia, Iran is a much more capable threat.PureFodder wrote:

Edit: Here's an even better one.
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast … index.html
TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iran's new president has repeated a remark from a former ayatollah that Israel should be "wiped out from the map," insisting that a new series of attacks will destroy the Jewish state, and lashing out at Muslim countries and leaders that acknowledge Israel.
The remarks by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad -- reported by Islamic Republic News Agency -- coincide with a month-long protest against Israel called "World without Zionism" and with the approach of Jerusalem Day.
World without Zionism is a nationwide event the planners intend to hold annually, and Ahmadinejad made the remarks during a meeting with protesting students at the Interior Ministry.
Ahmadinejad quoted a remark from Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of Iran's Islamic revolution, who said that Israel "must be wiped out from the map of the world."
The president then said: "And God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism," according to a quote published by IRNA.
