i think it was done well.. dont understand why people didnt like it.. thats why i <3 the EoD mod so much! a must get IMO.
and who didnt love hearing "Charlie in the wire" or "gooku troops spotted"

Tough Choice between BF2 and 1942. But in the end, I chose BF2, only because it has a wider range (IMO) of vehicles. Sure, no real boats, but choppers make up for it a bit.

I think that the wide selection of quality mods in 42 makes up for the lack of vechicles in Vanilla.Smithereener wrote:

I never played nam or 1942 so i cant say but out of bf2 and 2142 bf2 is my fav.
BF2 will always win this poll.. to many ppl here have never had a chance to play the games (42, BFV) that made the BF series so popular.. but just so those who havnt played the older BF games know BF2 didnt pop out of the ground and become popular. It was built on the already great game play from the 2 previous titles.. unfourtunatly a different DICE made the game hence its gayness.
every patch for 42 and Nam fixed something that the community as a whole wanted fixed PLUS i remeber getting new maps and vechicles a few times in both 42 and BFV from a FREE patch.. these are now known as "booster packs" since EA cant possibly do something for free..

Perhaps, but I never really got around to playing multiple mods on 42. Should've, but I was stupid back then. All I did was play a lot of El Alamein and Coral Sea.Desolater wrote:

I loved BF1942, I am think about reinstalling it on my machine, because my rig back then couldn't keep up with it very well and I always lagged. Would be much better IMO now with better hardware. I have played everything but Bf:v and I would say bf1942, by a nose over bf2, then right behind it 2142. Although I only played the beta of 2142.

I hated the way the people moved so slowly in 1942. Without vehicles it was better to suicide and respawn.
