Should EA/DICE include new unlocks (pistols, laser sights, etc.)?

In order to make BF2 more 'fun', shouldn't DICE include more unlocks instead of the generic guns? Maybe we could unlock scopes for each individual gun, laser sights for pistols, or silencers for carbines.

What do you guys think?

a new vehicle would be a nice upgrade, eg a bomber with hellfires for the second seat therefore it could pwn helis

Yeah, and maybe smart bombs for fighters, and radar-guided AMRAAMS for aircraft so that the missiles won't be fooled by the heat traps.

yea that would be nice but that would be more like 2142. And though 1000 ppl vote yes on bf2s Dice probably wont put in more unlocks..

... because they can't. Due to Battlefield 2's engine, you probably can't have Knife, Pistol, Nade, /extra unlocks. And 2 main weapon unlock tiers is about as much as the game can handle.

But i thought BF2142 was only a slightly improved game engine for BF2. So their 'improvement' included the more diverse range of unlocks?

No.  BF2 is going on two years old.  The best thing they should do is release one last patch that addresses some of the issues that are prevalent in the game today.  Things like the CTD when picking up a kit, the sniper rifle glitch when you try and put your scope back up after firing a shot and it magically does a hiccup and sways to the left and you can't do anything about it and many others.  Perhaps they could even find a way to incorporate some of these mods into ranked mode so more people would play them.

It's basically the same on the whole, but the smaller details (IE; Customisation screen, extra unlocks) are about the only things that make 2142 stand out.

Plus, you don't think that Dice are gonna patch in a 'new and improved' engine for BF2, do you?
