I love project reality but it is incredibly hard. I get shot time and time again without even seeing the enemy. I used to play bf2 by seeing where the enemy was then moving round behind them but now I cant even find them. Anyone got any tips?

remember to not run around like you do in bf2. The whole point is to be stealthy and hard to find. When crossing major roads, first let your stamina regenerate and then sprint across. Also if it's being watched chuck a smoke first, to either cover you or to pull the attention to another place, so you can safely cross. Also most roofs are accessible. The grass is usually very dense, so its great to lay low in for a while, until your enemy moves. Then you can pop off a few shots and kill him
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Stick to groups of people. Your odds of being picked out of a group by your enemy are lessened than if you were alone. If you are caught by the enemy alone, run into a building if theres one near by, or hit the deck if your near cover or spray and pray you hit something.

No UAV makes it hard to find your enemies. Rely on your teammates to spot them for you.

lol, I'm doing all that stuff and yet they wipe me out. Did I mention as well I can't hit the enemy at five foot but can instant kill a teammate a mile away

True, but i find that my run 'n gun tactic works on tight quarter maps. I just run into a squad with my G3 and spray. Took them all out! five persons. I was so amazed and thought it was just fluke, but then i went and did it again. Three moore! I think the G3 is uber when it comes to close quarter fighting.

dude, I know the feeling

"I wonder this guy's on my team"

*Fires 1 shot without aiming, scoping or taking time*

*team mate dies, instantly*

"bugger."

A tip:
First find a person.  Then check if he's on the HUD.  It's easiest to find out if he's friendly or not if he doesn't appear.
Next:
Keep crosshair on person.  Assume person is enemy until proved otherwise.  If the person is friendly, his name will eventually appear if you keep looking at him.  If the person is hostile, it will take much longer to identify him.
Next:
If in absolute doubt, i.e. there's friendlies in your line of vision, but you're sure that the person is hostile, "spot" him.  If there are no enemies all that will appear is a question mark that fades quickly.  But don't do this too much otherwise if you do see an enemy but don't click spot in time, people will ignore your question mark.
Lastly:
High textures are always a good option, as well as extending the distance you can see with line of vision.  However, decreased performance will usually work against you in such circumstances.

Stick in groups - there's more likely to be a medic nearby.

And lastly:  Your first shot will ALWAYS hit the target.  Tri-burst is good short to medium range, but at long range your recoil will put you off and make you waste bullets.  If you are caught with a tri-burst setting and are unable to switch in time, target the enemy with the first shot - while the others will probably miss, getting the first hit is essential.

Also, shotguns are VERY good in close range.  I just found out when I gave some poor chap a blast in the back as he passed.  Even with slugs they're effective.

EDIT:  Open fire ONLY when sure of a kill, or that person's going to run off and come back, with YOU in his sights.  Firing gives away your position, especially the muzzle blast.

Maybe there is one exception: suppressing fire. When you work in a good squad and you discover an enemy squad in your way, 2 or 3 guys can provide suppressing fire, pinning the enemy down while 2 or 3 squad members can flank them.
One thing why PR is way more fun than vBF2: suppressing fire actually works.

I know the feeling, i played pr a couple of hours for the first time recently and i died 27 times and got 4 kills. The first round i got 10 deaths and 0 kills. All i did was die.

I came to the conclusion that my bf2/2142 tactics dont work in this game. I need to come up with more sneaky tactics i guess. Also teamwork is lifted to a higher level imo and its like no other game i ve played before. Joining squads and sticking close to it seems like a good idea in this game.

Also its cool to play medic so i can revive all the people i teamkill. I got killed a dozen times and i finally saw a guy running so i aim/shoot. It turned out i teamkilled superfly, who was my sqaudleader.
