Good movie. There is alot of action, and it's really gory. It is a movie that gets a oint across, which is people die getting diamonds for people like us. I recommend it if you like action. If anyone else has seen it please post your thoughts.
Yes i agree. The life those people lived / are still living...is serious stuff. Makes you think. Good movie, imo aswell.

I thought the movie was good at first but then it dragged on, & then on some more. I feel asleep & finished it in the morning, bleh. I'm kind of bias against Leonardo decrapio though.

Film was class.. Di Caprio done the Afrikaans very well.. From my experience anyway..

yeah twas a good film, made me think and see the constant wars over there in a new light.

Watched it last night and I highly recommend it. It gives a small glimpse into the utter chaos that goes on in that area of Africa. The killing of the children in the beginning was disturbing, but at least they didn't show the raping of killing of the women, too. I have friends that lived over in that area doing aid work and they barely made it out with their lives when the fighting started.
I thought the message was not that people die just to get diamonds for people like us. I thought the overriding message was the consequences of human greed. The African people terrorize one another for power and diamonds and outsiders exploit the Africans in an effort to further their own interests. The strong family ties they showed in the African family were inspiring, too. As a father I can understand the instinct to go find his son, even through intense danger.

Hmm, I rented it but my suitemate (similar to roommate) here at college took it home for the weekend I'll make sure to watch it when he *hopefully* returns with it.
I watched it ages ago,from what i remember it was good.
It had a Hind at the end dominating everyone as well if my memory serves well.

The only thing I thought it was a bit long and the ending I think could have been better. But other than that, it was great and the storyline was excellent.

Word to the Wise: My girlfriend saw this movie and she does not want a diamond for a wedding ring. a WIN for me and any one else who can benefit from this LOL
