- Morality: a matter of Religion or Evolution?

Is it necessary to be a Religious guy to know what morality is?
Is morality more related to Religion or to Mankind itself?
Are Religious persons better judges than agnostics or atheists?
religion helps with morality but so does philosphy.
look at the following phrase from the perspective of religion and philosophy:
"thou shall not kill"
1) religion says don't do it because its wrong.
2) philosophy says don't do it because you don't want someone else doing it to you.
which is a better pursuader? for me its number 2 because i always want to know WHY.
Supposedly Christian. The KKK uses the disguise of a religious cause to pursue endeavours of hate and intolerance. Originally, they had nothing to do with some sort of noble cause sent to them by God until the original group, the one just for persecution of blacks and no one else, disbanded. They used the religion-ish style to get more members which made them a very large group by the 1920s and that has since gone through some changes but is closer to the modern group, there was a show on the History Channel about it called KKK: A Secret History that tells it better than I do.PureFodder wrote:

Nazis, well....I can't quite connect the national socialism to religion except by the fact that Germany was a predominantly Christian or denomination thereof country. However, I may be mistaken, but I never recall Hitler as to speaking that they would be doing God's work with the Holocaust or anything to that extent.
Westboro, screw them--- Just as bad or maybe worse than the KKK on the intoler-ometer. Their way of thinking is really not encouraged by many outside their realm of existence.
Change that to all fundamentalism.Yellowman03 wrote:

Ok I thought you said so here :"saying one person is better just implies that you have a bias toward thinking that person is better." But ok ye I agree everyone has biases and prejudices towards one thing or anotherDaysniper wrote:
