Take a few minutes to remember them, they fought for you .
I'd love to think they were that noble. More likely a combination of orders and paycheck! Still, it's a shame.LostFate wrote:

I am not one to celebrate the death of another human. All untimely death is a tragedy but the soldiers in the Iraq war are not fighting for British/US freedom or to protect our way of life or anything like that.
If you'd like to contest this assertion please provide examples of how not going to war in Iraq would have compromised our security and/or way of life given that the WMD argument turned out to be a complete farce.

I feel for them and their families. If the politicians had done their jobs right they shouldn't need to be their at all. They signed up thinking they would be defending their country and helping others. The war in the middle east is not about protecting the UK and it has had the people of Iraqi are worse off now that with Saddam. No wonder an increasing number of Families who have lost service personnel are speaking out against the war.
Forgive my harshness, but the coalition is loosing people every day of the week and we don't have a thread for each one of them.
Get them out of their ffs.

RIP/CONDOLENCESBAGHDAD (AP) - A U.S. Army helicopter went down south of Baghdad Thursday, injuring four of the nine soldiers aboard, while five U.S. troops died in separate attacks in Baghdad. Also, in the deadliest blow to Britain since November, four British soldiers and a Kuwaiti interpreter were killed in an ambush in southern Iraq, the British military said.
Any loss in battle is unfortunate.
Iraqi civilian reaction:
Were their deaths absolutely pointless?
