Oh yes! I am currently searching for a 1985 Nissan 300zx to turn into the Time Machine from Back to the Future...

THAT will be fun!

How about a 1979 Datsun?

Why not search for an actual Delorean?  Or have none of them survived (they were a little shoddy, I hear)?

No, there are tons around, tons and tons. And several businesses are making a mint off of manufacturing replacement parts for them that are of high quality, sometimes better than the original.

DeLoreans are, on average, about $12,000.... for medium-condition cars. Nissan 300zx's from the 80s tend to run about 3 grand at the MOST, lol.

Unless you want to start making donations then... well... I'm going with the imitation.

Read the thread! The original car was hit by a semi 5 days before Halloween.

That's one of our other options... though it's damn near impossible to find one of those that hasn't rusted through. It's one of the ideal cars for the project.

Other ideas include one of these...

Either with an actual early 90s jeep or a Subaru Baja....

Check this out... video of the original car before I dismantled it.
