AA misile question.

I was flying the gunship and got EMP'd from a AA, while out of control I hit a transport, now my I'm not going to say how ubber unlucky etc, but I always thought if you got EMP'd and crashed as a result the guy who fired got the kills??.

I got greated with multiple TK's, I even got my own gunner!, he must have tried to bail last min.
For the record I said sorry and typed in about me being EMP'd, result all punished (apart from gunner, clan mate)oops!.

The chap must have fell of his chair seeing it happen!!PMSL!!!, but I feel he was denied the kills he should have got, not to mention save me loads of TK's!!lol.

dunno. I once got gunship kill when I shot it with pistol and the pilot crashed immediately to few trees
emp aa kills seem to be very random for me at least.

Not sure you could have. From what ive heard, you only get a kill if you inflict the last amount of damage on a vehicle. I bf2, any weapon could damage choppers, but i don't think pistols can damage the talon/doragon on bf2142

Since EMP does no damage at all, you'll never get kills recorded even if you force the heli into a crash.

Doesn't 2 shots from EMP take 1 damage away.

I got hit by 2 Emp's when i was a bit shitter and crashed into trees,he got the kill.

Strange... I "think" I've been credited a few kills from the second position in the walker but I'm not sure.
And as DerGraueWolf say, the missiles doesn't do any damage so it would make sense if you can't kills from the AA missiles.

The EMP AA does do a slight bit of damage. 2-3 damage points

I'm not completely sure if the emp does any damage at all, but I guess the hope is that you paralyze the aircraft long enough to get a few good hits in. If you completely miss the target and it crashes then you by no means get credited with the kill. I think however, if you get some hits in, you will at least get an assist. One thing I will agree with is that this game gives away team damage way too liberally. If I try to bail from a tank for example and a team mate is within blast range, I get a team kill rather than the person on the opposing team getting two kills... I've learned you just gotta go down with the ship in certain situations... uber suxs
