Man I suck with the knife, I really do. And I hate it, and I'm writing just to whine. I'm missing the basic, yes basic, knife combat badge but after reading the forums at bf2s for some time now and looking at sig-stats I got inspired to get the badge. I've read posts describing how easy they got expert knife in one night and how fun it was and was actually starting to get excited about it.
So yesterday I was playing on a server that had quite long rounds and when we got to karkand I thought I'd give the knife badge a try. I mean the basic one should be easy, "only" 7 kills. thats nothing. No matter what I did I got killed. Was playing US and found a sniper on our hill and tried to knife him. He pulled his gun and we bounced around a while until he shot me. Angry as I was I thougth that I would eliminate him first and then carry on with the knife. Spawned and ran up the hill again, with my machine gun, found my old pack and the sniper bounced up behind me, we bounced a very short time and he killed me with the friggin knife
Now I was really pissed and thought I'd go get somebody else with the knife. I was sprinting/jumping at people, hiding at roofs, waiting behind boxes and manageg to trick a few and got up behind them only to see that they turned around and shot me.
The absolutely worst was when I was at the first flag after the US-hill, I heard mec fellows on the other side of the wall and jumped down there. I got down behind them and they were both aiming the other way watching someone. I smiled an ran up behind the first one but at the same time he gave up and turned around towards me, I missed him and he ran past me. So I thought I'd take the other one before I got shot and went towards him but nooo.
I didn't get one hit with the knife. Nada! Not even when I had the moment of surprise behind two persons I could hit the with the knife. Wtf did I do wrong?! I was standing all the time trying to stad them in the neck, but did I go to close or what? I was so mad I started talking to myself, it cannot be possible to suck this much with the knife. It really can't be...
