Alright, I have some funny text mods that I want to share.
For those that don't know what this is I'll tell yah. Like you know how when you kill someone with a DAO-12 it says at the top, Ex. FragdaddyXl [DAO_12] Devilcat , well instead of saying DAO-12 I made it say Banana. This is just one example of my 100 text changes. To do this go to
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Localization\English\
you should see 5 files
Right click on the English one (top left) and open it with Notepad
now close out the notepad and right-click on it again and select "save as"
Keep the name the same and save it to your desktop (or somewhere that you will remember)
Alright, navigate back to the English folder (if you closed it out) and open the English file that you just copied
You should see a Bunch of words
go to "Edit" and click on "select all"
now that all of it is highlighted, copy my text mod and paste it onto the highlighted text
*WARNING* Does contain bad language so if your parents watch you play make sure it's okay with you.
If you just want to edit it yourself look for it in the BF2s Wiki
To put the text back to normal, copy the English file you saved to your desktop and navigate to the English folder. Paste it over the English text file (or like how you put this mod on there) and save. Punkbuster will not bust you. This does not affect the gameplay in any way. ENJOY
