Isn't 2142 "BF3"? Is there a point in releasing yet another BF-franchise game, when so many are still eagerly playing 2142, let alone older brother BF2?

IMO, the salesman is full of shit. Although I might be wrong, that's what I think.

Salesmen have a tendency to spit out lies in order to make the sale. In this case, I suppose the salesman had no idea about the game (or any of the BF games), but needed to say something just to keep up the conversation to get the transaction put to effect. You know those shop at home-commercials where they advertise outdated computers and say they're "state of the art"? They're practically selling an old 486SX and saying it'll play back Blu-Ray movies when it has difficulties with Minesweeper.

Ummm...they ARE supposedly coming out with bf3 for xbox360, but its not coming out for pc or anything.  I read an article on it, but cant find it...

You are right about one thing is that I need to relax a bit, but just like I made an assumption on his maturity and intellect, you're making an assumption on who he is flaming.

Of course theres going to be a '3'  thats what EA are all about.......dressing up old games to look new and wheeling them out again with a 50 nugget price tag.

A would like a BF3 (time period the same as BF2).  2142 main plus to me is that it is soo much more stable than BF2.  I think the mod community i.e. PR and POE will a definite impact on the future of the franchise.

I agree Battlefield Vietnam had some of the best maps in my opinion, I would love to see an expansion pack in  that arena or even a new DX10 graphics engine with jungle maps possibly.

Battlefield Bad Company is what i think he was talking about
It is coming out on PS3, 360 and possibly PC
