Everything was fine until last week...

I was loading and verifying client data...click join games...ERROR: Please revert to the original BF2-SF.

(I never installed anything except SF..EF..AF) no mods or add-ons

I re-apply patch 1.41 and same thing but sometime at 62% I get CTD.

I un-install SF and re-install and re-patch to 1.41....

I get CTD all the time now at 56%...

HELP PLEASE...

I will Karma the first 10 reply that is related to the topic and that proposed a way to fix it!!!

I reckon u'd probably have to reinstall the original bf2 as there's probably a corrupt file in there somewhere!

at least that's what it sounds like mate!  it's loading everything else no probs but when u get to 56% like u said it crashes.  has to be a corrupt file in ur bf2 folder!

Happened to me also.

WHat i did, was completely uninstall all BF2 related things. Then I went to my Computer/ C drive/ EA games and deleted the BF2 folder.

After that, i got a registry cleaner and cleaned my registry. After I reinstalled it going I went from Normal to SF to Ef to AF and than applied the full patch

Hope this helps.

And if u want a completely free and good cleaner I recommend CCleaner, go to ccleaner.com. I use it all the time, it helps

Reinstall all games and install patch last! Check if you got the latest drivers for sound, graphics etc! If that doesn't help check for spy ware, viruses, Trojans.

OK most of you say to re-install all the games!!!

Good Now I did clean all....

BF2 is now install...10h29 AM.

I will now proceed to install of BF2-SF...I know it will install patch 1.1 on me...

I will be back after the SF install and patch 1.1...(I might apply patch 1.41 after the reboot...

BF2:SF is patch 1.1

If you have problems patching 1.41 try downloading another patch and try again, at times you get packageloss from some servers ....

Try this to get another patch if you need one http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/BF2/

I do have all the patch on a DVD...(Thank for the link ...I know someone "Fred" who ask me something similar!!!) they came from here in the OLD files section...

I got SF installed now...just need to patch it...and try it before I proceed to EF and AF.

EDIT...Tabarnak,(french swearing) I got to start back from scratch again....Patching fail...
look like I'll have to download patch 1.41 again!!!
