Great thread!

I love art, but I'm not very good at drawing, so I work on terrain programs. I like making things with a surreal feeling to it. I'll have a website going up soon with lots of my images on. Hope you like!

Thanks, too bad they were done in Corel Painter, with no effects, aside from some blur effects on the Lana Turner portrait.

at least try some different perspective shit, hit up google and draw off of sports images (football, basketball, boxing all have good poses and angles)

@ Sarrk - try some copycat drawing. When I was about 13 it's how I drew for ages - I'm ashamed to admit I drew Anime figures - Dragonball Z to be precise - but since those characters are generally very animated it's great to get different perspectives and whatnot. However since you, like me, are a cartoonist, it's best to figure out what's best for your characters. If you find you need to put them in situations where their backs are turned or whatever you'll adapt fairly easially I reckon. Challenge yourself. With your tablet you won't end up with hundreds of broken pencils and mountains of erasings like I do.
I follow what my cartoonist mentor Robbie Neilson did. He just threw what he had out into the world and developed really quickly just by regularly drawing stuff that would be seen - and I've seen his early published works, they wern't great.
