Assistance required - please help

Hello

I have BF2 installed from CD, and BF2SF and BF2AF + EF installed from DVD.

My question is this: Why doesn't my profile show my status for SF?

I should mention that I haven't really played on any SF servers persay, just run around waiting for games. But the strange thing is, I have a friend who has done the same as me (just run around in servers), yet he has the available unlocks and medals etc listed on his profile page.

They simply don't show up on mine??

The only thing different about his situation is that he installed both BF2 and the SF mod from a single DVD - a packaged release.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas why it may be so?

When you load your server list, are you un-checking the box for "same version"? You should see servers with maps like "Warlord", "Ghost Town", etc.

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

I am only getting lists with same version.

But my BFHQ indicates that I have SF, because it lists the SF maps. However, I don't see anything SF related on my BF2S.com profile (nor any other stats site).

Player name is same as nick here - check it out.

Were you running around in a server that had a game going? Was it ranked? Did you score at least 1 point?

The server was waiting for more players - so no games had started.

But that was the same for my friend "ReCoN_SIERRA" - but he has the SF unlocks etc listed on his stats page.

Just really odd - I'm hoping that its no some glitch because one was installed from CD and the others from DVD. Hopefully I don't have to go and buy a DVD version of BF2 just to fix it.

If you play when a game is running and finish a round you will for sure get your SF unlocks!!

Yes, when the server is waiting for players the game hasn't even started yet. You can kill people without adding to the stats.

I think it is enough to log on to a server that has enough players (i.e. the game has started) and spawning once.
If you want to be sure, finishing the round will definitely work.

Sometimes (mostly on weekends) it can take some time until the stats are sent to the masterserver and of course, the server you played on must not crash before it can send the player details.

Play before a round has started isn't recorded in the stats, obviously (see the scoreboard, no scores). Your friend had to have been in a server actually running a game, even if only briefly.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I thought that would probably be the case - but I just couldn't work out why my mate got his to appear when I didn't. I don't think he played on an SF server other than when he was with me - then maybe he did?!

I will have to get into one of the few SF servers in my location.

Do you mean checking your SF badges and etc.?

You have a side arrow to click on when your on the awards pages where it says Battlefield 2.

I thought that's what he was talking abou too. But you have to start BF:SF first or have just played a SF map to access your BF:SF stats on the BFHQ page.

I figured that it was BFHQ too.

Anyway - I got in last night and jumped onto an SF server for the briefest of moments, and YES - i got 4 new unlocks!!

That Medic rifle! And the big sniper rifle - OH BABY!!!

Thanks again to all for the help - FANTASTIC! I only wish the servers I play on had people more like you guys. The unfortunate reality is, it's more a case of "Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right!"

Once you start playing SF and get used to the maps you find a much more varied and better game play IMO!!
