Google Daemon Tools, and BF2 No CD.
WAIT, dont just get a no cd, PB can ban you for this is you dont do the right thing.
First, install Daemon tools. When everything is done, run it. Right click on, turn all types of emulation on, and set the number of devices to 1. Go to the device, still by right clicking on daemon tools and going to drives, and mount the file you get from this link:
http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc … eld%202%20[ALL]%20No-DVD/Fixed%20Image%203
Click on the battlefield 2 NO-DVD image 3 link
download it by clicking on file archive
You should be good now.

Or get Daemon and Alcohol 120% and make your own .iso.
Takes some time though with a scratched cd.

For what it's worth, I use Alcohol 120% for BF2 because Daemon Tools has caused problems for me in the past. I think DT does complex things to hide itself and my machine crashed when it was doing its thing.
Either way, using the mini-image is way better than keeping the CD in the drive.

Can someone help me with this? I'm a noob with this stuff... I've got Daemon tools installed. how do i get the cd image? ...etc use all the stuff...

This 'how-to'would be nice. As BF2 is not the only CD that goes into my (and I suspect others) DVD players. Less stress over time and the INEVITABLE scratches.
this thread is perfect timed, my disk drive just totally fucked up with my BF2 dvd in it (of course) it scratch it in the plastic in the middle, no biggy there, but it also scratch it alot on the outermost shell on the disk. its so bad that the drive wont recognise it anymore so i am thinking abut buying a new copy, cant be to expensive anymore. But this brings hope to me, if I do get a PB ban it will against my cd-key right?
I tried to explain it. Once you have daemon tools installed, go to
http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc … ld_2.shtml
then scroll down and click on the
"Battlefield 2 [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image #3" and download that by clicking on the file archive button. Save it to your desktop. When its done, open Daemon Tools and right click on the icon in your systray. Turn all types of emulation on and set number of drives to 1. Then, put your cursor over the drive you mounted (still by right cliking on the Daemon icon in systray and going to devices and mount the file that you installed to your desktop.
You should be able to play with no disk now

both of my BF2 CD's broke [wtf] SF and Vanilla so i have to use a crack now
Does it work if you have BF2 as a PC-CD, instead of DVD?
Indeed, I reccomend you stay clear of Daemon tools as it completely fucked my old computer up the minute I installed it.san4 wrote:

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
Yeah I know how to do it, I just dont know what will happen regarding PB if I use NO CD via daemon tools. I just want to know that its not going to ban me.eagles1106 wrote:

Make a virtual drive
The virtual drive is D:
Open the image (use File/Open in Alcohol 120%)
Right-click on the image and choose Mount on Device
Done. Now go pwn noobs.
You should be able to exit Alcohol 120% before you start up BF2 and the image stays mounted.
Thanks guys...gonna try the Alky 120 myself.
This needs a Sticky!?!

Did you do a full install of BF2?
Did you do a full install of BF2?
Daemon is a better program, and its easier to use it. I prefer putting in my CD.
Daemon Tools ftw !
I have a demo version of Game Drive. Same concept of virtual CD mount, but it wont make an ISO of the 2142 DVD.
Its time I figured out no CD for 2142.
Its time I figured out no CD for 2142.
It goes to a black screen, it never loads the game (It shows the Bf2 Splash image at the beginning), however, i changed the file extensions in the video part so the video files won't load at the beginning of the game... That shouldn't affect the loading of the game itself... But that's as far as it got...
